OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Rockland County School Boards Association (RCSBA) is to improve the services rendered by the school districts of Rockland County through the cooperative effort of the members of Rockland's constituent school boards. This Association subscribes to the aims and objectives of the NYS School Boards Association and may send delegates to the organization's meetings and conferences when requested.

THE PURPOSE IS ADVANCED BY

- - discussion of common concerns
  - research activities resulting in advisory recommendations
  - coordination of legislative activities with NYSSBA
  - coordination of training seminars for school trustees
  - fostering a greater civic and school consciousness among the citizens of the school districts of Rockland County

ADDRESSING HATE

The racist text messages received this month by students in Rockland County are heinous and must be condemned in the strongest terms. The hateful nature of these text messages is extremely disturbing, made even more so by the fact that children were targeted.

As a community, we must stand together in solidarity against such hurtful acts, whether motivated by race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender or other identities.

The Rockland County School Boards Association stands united and firm in our rejection of racism and all other forms of hate, and we must all be diligent in our roles in fostering a community of belonging, even during the most challenging times.
